Introduction: Luxurious Outdoor Shower - Part 1 [Natural Stone & Tiling]
This is the 1st part of a Luxurious Outdoor Shower and in this instructable you'll see: How I installed the "Natural Stone" and the "Tiles". The length of the shower is 200cm & the width 100cm.
Step 1:
Firstly, for the mortar, add sand, cement, a little lime and water.
Step 2:
Then, with a plaster mixer, mix well, until all ingredients become one single mixture.
Step 3:
Once you have designed, with a marker, the limits of the shower on the floor, place the concrete blocks one by one.
Step 4:
Leave a gap at some point to lead there the water from the shower.
Step 5:
When you finish, let it dry for one day.
Step 6:
Wash the natural stones, on both sides, so that they can be placed securely on the mortar.
Step 7:
Place the stones one by one and give them a slight slope towards the point where we have made the gap.
Step 8:
When you finish, let it dry for one day.
Step 9:
Mix the grout, a little cement and a little sand, with water...
Step 10:
...to put it between the stones.
Step 11:
When you finish, let it dry for a while.
Step 12:
Now take a putty knife and remove the grout that there is on the stones.
Step 13:
Drag a wet sponge across the whole surface very softly, so the grout and the stone to be at the same level.
Step 14:
Repeat the same process several times until it is completely clean.
Step 15:
For the tiling, first place the ones on the side and then the ones on the top of the concrete blocks.
Step 16:
After you have sprinkled water on the concrete blocks, evenly spread with a plastering trowel with teeth the tile glue.
Step 17:
Before you place the tile, dip it in water and then press it until it is aligned with the others.
Step 18:
Let approximately one cm between them so that we can place the grout later.
Step 19:
When you finish, let it dry for one day.
Step 20:
Place the grout with a putty knife and press well to fill all the gaps.
Step 21:
After a while, take a wet sponge and clean the gaps very smoothly.
Repeat the same process several times until it is completely clean.
Step 22:
Let it dry for one day and then wash the whole construction very well.
Step 23:
At the end paint the stone and the grout with a stone varnish.
Step 24:
