Introduction: MAKE YOUR HELI LAND ON WATER
HI GUYS THIS IS MY FIRST INSTRUCTABLE I WISH IT BECOMES HANDY TO YOU.
IT'S SUMMER...
YOU ARE ON THE BEATCH...
...BUT YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH YOUR HELI.
WELL IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE FOR NOW ON
Step 1: MATERIALS
ALL YOU NEED ARE:
*5 RUBER BANDS OR ELECTRICAL TAPE
*2 SMALL WATER BOTTLES
*A SMALL PIECE OF WIRE OR ZIP TIE
*A WIRE CUTTER
Step 2: PREPAREING THE RUBBER BANDS
MAKE THE RUBBER BANDS LIKE THEM ON THE PHOTO
Step 3: ASSEMBLING
PUT THE BOTTLES UNDER THE LANDING GEAR AND STABILISE THEM WITH THE RUBBER BANDS OR THE ELECTRICAL TAPE. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO IT WITH THE RUBBER BANDS THEN CONNECT THE RUBBER BANDS TOGETHER USEING THE WIRES OR THE ZIP TIE. THEN CUT THE REST OF THE WIRE WITH THE WIRE CUTTER.
Step 4: READY
JUST BE PROUD FOR THIS NSTRUCTABLE AND OF COURSE ENJOY

When you do this with any helicopter there is a huge risk it will tip and ruin the helicopter, especially if its a small air hogs or raiden tech helicopter

Give the guy a BREAK at least he's outside with a real hobby and relating his ideas to us. I have three nephews - 16, 18 and 20. All they do 24/7 is play Warcraft, a totally useless past time. I applaud the author, I never thought of that idea, I was going to use packing foam blocks and shape them for my heli. (However DO turn the Cap Lock OFF, dj whatever)

They really should add a age restrection on this forum . Or a 'Kidz' Corner or something , with some happy colours and funny figures....And dude , that picture of yourself ( your right , that's just a guess.... ) with your face all hidden up and a nice made i china plastic gun that almost is bigger then you if Reaaallly impressive . I am sorry if you feel attacked now , but i am just worrying about my future on this planet...

well I'm not feeling attacked and I'm glad you typed your opinion. you asked about the age I'm 14. now for the desert eagle and this gangster style in the photo you just saw only my one side. A proverb/ adage says "DON'T JUDJE A BOOK OF ITS COVER" keep this on mind for other things too. and thanks for your opinion.

I'd say that's a pretty mature response for a 14-year-old, Grimling. Not using all-caps and using a spellcheck would be great, but hey, this is a start. (Firefox has spellchecking built-in, btw.)

hey after you finished did you actually test it on water and if so did your heli happen to tip over whilst landed on said water? thnx

Just make sure the bottles are tied to the landing gear in such a way that the CG (Center of Gravity) has not been changed. In other words, make sure to center the bottles with the main shaft (or a bit towards the nose since the bottle neck is lighter than the rest of it). AND THIS IS FOR THE CAPS LOCK LOVERS :D

ah... i love thessaloniki, but havent' been there since before you were born, i'm sure it's changed a bit. how do the bottles affect flight and how well does it land on water? it seems the base is a bit narrow and it'd be top heavy.
Reply 15 years ago on Introduction
The bottles don't affect the flight at all. for the mass of my heli the bottles don't add much weight. as for the stability you can hold the bottles with sticks and this would be much better.

Lay off the Caps Lock a little. Lower case letters do exist, ya know.
