Introduction: MINECRAFT: GHAST CARVED FROM LEAD

About: Artist, Illustrator and Hobbyist

MINECRAFT, a world were you can make anything you want. And in this Instructable you can carve a Ghast into pencil lead! The materials you will need are,

  • Exact-o blade/knife
  • Pencil
  • Lead stick
  • Graphite stick

Step 1: SLOW AND STEADY! Take Your Time.

In this step you will scrape with the tip of the Exact-o blade into the lead pencil or graphite(depends on what you choose to use). Take the graphite stick and the Exact-o blade and scrape the tip of the blade, into the graphite and make a mouth and a straight line across the bottom to make the guide line for the bottom of the Ghast.

Step 2: The Face

Next you will need to make the eyes which are two rectangles, then underneath the eyes are tears which look like pixels but trickling down from the eyes. You will scrape lines like upright rectangles and extra squares to make it look pixelated. Then scrape the inside of the squares like filling in a coloring book, scrape lightly to make it look gray and scrape roughly to make it look dark grey or black. This will give the tears texture.

Step 3: The Body.(not Too Deep!!!)

You will start on the body, carve into the bottom in an upward direction towards the border line shown in the photos.REMEMBER: Never carve too deep or you won't have enough lead to make the legs.

Step 4: The Legs.(Slow and Steady)

When working on the legs you must scrape into the Graphite gently or it will chip. As you can see there is a large black gap in between one of the legs, that is why you must scrape gently into the graphite. Once you have made the legs outlines you can scrape inward in between two legs. You will do this with all nine legs.

Step 5: The Feet(Easy to Cut Your Self)

WARNING:Wear protective gloves for this step other wise serious injury may occur. After shaping your legs for the Ghast, you will work on the feet. You will take the whole Ghast and break it off of the stick. This way you can work on the bottom of the feet instead of hassling to get under there while it's attached. There are 3 rows, in total there are 9 legs and you will be scraping in between the feet that way it is easier to understand how many feet there are.

Step 6: Extra Details(top)

In this step you will add any details needed so I added the lines on top of it's head, instructions shown in photos

Step 7: FINISHED

Now you are done!!!Enjoy showing this trick to everyone and you can also put it in epoxy and make a necklace or a charm bracelet.Thank you!
