Introduction: Mac Terminal Tips

I will be showing you a couple fun things to do in terminal. Terminal is A great app to learn about. You can do so many things. The original computers used a terminal like program to navigate around. Only Two Types of apples Ever did that.The Apple, and The Apple II.

Step 1: How to Put Widgets on Your Desktop

First open terminal typ in  ( Defaults write devmode yes ) without the (parentheses) . YOu may need to log out and log back in or restart. Now open dashboard click and hold the widget  and click F4 it Should be on your desktop know.

Step 2: How to Play Game in Terminal

As you might know mac OS X is unix-base. which includes some games like tetris,sake,pong . To play these games you need to open terminal typ in (ls /usr/share/emacs/22.1/lisp/play/)

A list will apear if it does not . type in (cd/urs/share/emacs/)  copy down the number and replace 22.1 from the phrase above withe the number that you wrote down.
that is a list of game or simple programs. now open a new terminal window type in (emacs)
press Escape, then X and type the game off the list

Step 3: How to Make Terminal Talk to You

open terminal type in say and what ever you want to say. it will talk to you in a robot voice.

Step 4: How to Watch Star Wars

This may be the weirdest command ever open terminal type in telnet

    try the banner command [banner Instructables!]

    or do this:

    1. open anew terminal window

    2. type emacs and hit enter

    3. press esc x

    5. type 5x5 crack mutating current

    6. enjoy your computer trying to win at 5x5 by mutating the last move!
