Intro: "Mad Chopstick Burr" 10 X Madder

I am selling kits to make small versions of this on ebay Canada.  Click here!

A while ago I saw this great instructable https://www.instructables.com/id/Mad-Chopstick-Burr/ on how to make a hexastix which I'm pretty sure was invented by this George Hart who called his sculpture "72 pencils": http://www.georgehart.com/sculpture/pencils.html

Here is my version (which is, as of this writing, for sale on Etsy, under Geoburst) made into a pretty detailed video. I would love to see a lot of people make these into christmas ornaments and stuff.

There are 91 sticks of each colour: Blue, Green, Deep Red, and Deep Brown (Black in dim light).

You can find out more about me and what I make on http://geoburst.ca

Great stuff - really clear and mildly hypnotic video. Planning any other George Hart builds? I've admired his work, but he's a bit of a magician - I tried to build his Chronosynclastic Infundibulum, but broke so many CDs I gave up (I still have over 100 in a box in my workshop!).
My next project is his tensegrity ball, and then I want to make it on a large scale.
where did you get the colored sticks you used? i'm very interested in making one of these for decoration and can't find the sticks online. thanks in advance.
I colour them myself with RIT clothing dye. I sell coloured sticks on etsy too :)

If that item doesn't fit what you want, private message me there or here or whatever and ask for what you want. I'd love to help you get your project going.
