Magnetic Parts Tray - Another Use

Introduction: Magnetic Parts Tray - Another Use

About: I am retired and have been for 13 years. Love to fix bikes, golf, play pool, fish, bike ride, travel and build things. I have been married, to the same woman for 41yrs, have three boys, and three grandchildr…
I recently re-painted my boat and boat trailer. The boat and trailer are painted blue, with red trim. I will publish the entire boat re-paint later. I wanted to paint the wheel nuts red to match the trim on the boat. Instead of spraying or using a brush to paint the nuts, I dipped them into the can of red paint to give them a even thick coat of paint. Once they were dipped, what do you do with them? So I came up with the idea of using my two magnetic parts trays to hold the nuts upright while they dried. It worked great. Hope this idea can help.

Any questions, just email. Thanks

Great job. When I first saw the picture, I thought you had made an instructable on how to make parts trays.

Thanks for looking and the comments, but a great idea to make your own, should be easy. Now I have something to work on.
