Introduction: Make a Cigar Filter Whistle

About: I enjoy being creative and sharing my ideas with others therefore I have made a few instructables! :)

Don't know what to do with that filter after you smoke your cigar? Well, you can make a small whistle just for the hell of it, to pass time, and because . . . why not? It's actually some-what amusing. I did this when I was drunk so if you think it's ridiculous then fine but I think it's pretty neat. Here's what you will need. . .

NOTE: this picture is the final product and at the bottom is the melted part. the top is the circular part you blow into the circular part.

Also NOTE: You can have a lot of fun with this. These can be good gifts for people that like noise makers, or whistling or just messing around with stuff.

Step 1: STEP 1: MATERIALS NEEDED:

1) Plastic Cigar Filter = I got mine after smoking my Prince Albert Soft Cherry Vanilla Cigars. They were $4.50 for a 5 pack. They tasted good too. I like White Owl cigars the best but these are very nice as well. So if you have a cigar filter laying around then good, if not they sell these at corner stores, bodegas, grocery stores ETC ETC

2) Small Scissors

3) A lighter = to heat plastic

4) A Nail File [optional] = this can be used at the end to smooth out any and all rough edges.

Step 2: STEP 2: HERE IS WHAT TO DO:

take the LIGHTER and heat up the small part of the PLASTIC CIGAR FILTER , with the cigar out of it of course, [where you would suck in the smoke from] and just heat up the plastic for a few seconds like about 5 seconds or less give or take, it depends. then blow on it a little bit because you don't want it scorching hot. then take the SMALL SCISSORS and open them, you will be using the inside of the scissors where they close in the middle [not the cutting part but the two bars. you wanna use that to squeeze shut the plastic filter and keep em together. In a short time the hole will be closed and success! you now have a cigar filter whistle.

Step 3: STEP 3: OTHER STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW:

a) I am doing this now while under the influence of alcohol so if this doesn't make sense, my apologies.

b) Also, to get the cigar out of the filter before you even begin, go to the base and twist the cigar around because it is glued in, you wanna manipulate it away from the plastic filter just give a twist here and there and it should come apart pretty easily.

and also:

c) how the whistle works:

you blow air into the round part as you would into a bottle to make noise. It can make loud noise, trust me. It would be good for concerts or sports events because people make noise there. Anyway, have fun and enjoy.

BEST OF LUCK!
