Intro: Make a Flashlight!

In this instructable, I will show you how to make a very basic, simple, working flashlight!

STEP 1: Gather Materials

-2 AA Batteries
-Twisted piece of Alluminum foil (or copper wire)
-duct tape
-1 mini light bulb. (Home Depot or other hardware store)

STEP 2: Assembly (Battery 1)

Rip 2 pieces of foil about 1.5inches long. Tape each pies of foil to both terminals of battery. The positive side should have foil coming out from the left. The negative end should hav foil coming out from the right.

STEP 3: Assembly (Battery 2)

Take your other battery, and place it in the opposite way that the first battery is facing. In otherwords, the terminals touching should be opposite. Take your light bulb, and attach it withtape so that the threads of the bulb is touching the positive terminal. If you are confused with terminals, ise the last picture to help you.

STEP 4: Finishing Touches

Tape The two batteries together to ensure that the light will not fall apart on you. To turn on, push the foil to the bottom of the bulb. Do not worry about getting shocked, YOU WON'T! When done using, make sure foil will stay away from bulb and away from other foil to prevent short circuits.

If you did this correctly, the light bulb should light up. It does give off ALOT of light.

Enjoy!

This picture was taken in a pitch black room! Not bad?
