Introduction: Make Molded Glow in the Dark Slime

I made this because it is a really great way to learn how to use Tinkercad. It is a 3D printed mold, and D.I.Y. slime put together. Not only does it look really cool in the dark, but it is really fun and easy to make!

Supplies

  • Computer
  • Tinkercad

  • Elmer's Glow In The Dark Glue
  • Contact Solution
  • Baking Soda
  • Bowl
  • Spoon

Step 1: The Slime

Take the glow in the dark glue and pour half of the bottle into your bowl. Next add the baking soda to the glue and mix in. Add one tbsp. at a time to the glue mixture, and mix in. Once it starts to form, pick it up and knead it with your hands.

-Note (If the slime is still to sticky, add more contact solution.)

Step 2: Starting the Heart

Drag in the heart shape in Tinkercad. Duplicate it and make the duplicate transparent. Once you do that, make the transparent one larger (60). The smaller, non-transparent heart should be 40.

Step 3: Combining

Move the larger heart so it is over the small heart. Make the large heart hidden by clicking the light bulb icon. Then make the small heart a hole. Go into front view and make the heart tall. It doesn't matter how tall, but it needs to taller than the large heart. Select them both and hit the grouping icon. You should have a heart cookie cutter shape. Go to the color circle and select which color you want.

3D print it. Put the slime inside the heart and you are done!
