Introduction: Make Sandpaper Last Longer
I found myself changing out paper on my electric sander, too often due to premature
tearing near the tucked in edges. (pic 2) I solved this by covering the back of the sheets
with clear packing tape. (pics 3 & 4) Masking tape works, in a pinch, and is better by far
than no tape at all. (pics 5 & 6) Another use for duct tape maybe, if that's what you have
on hand. You can cover the entire back of the sheets, or just the edges.

Somebody showed me this where we had to sand for touch up on large equipment and it is amazing how it makes the sandpaper last up to ten fold.

Truly, the sandpaper lasts ten times as long! This is the secret the sandpaper makers don't want you to know!
