Introduction: Make Your Own Steampunk Gear Bracelet

About: Human who loves learning from others and sharing what she knows

I love the steampunk look and style. I wanted to make a bracelet out of gears and now I am gonna show you how easy it is.

Step 1: What You Will Need

Pliers - you can see I used a variety on this project.

Gears - I chose to use different sizes and styles, you can use what you would like.

Jump Rings- I used two different sizes on my project

A Spring Ring

E-6000 glue (optional)

Embellishments of your choice (also optional)

Step 2: Arrange Your Gears

How you arrange the gears are totally up to you. For my project I started with a large gear as my center point. I wanted the wow factor it would provide. I then matched the gears up on either side of the large gear. You can be as creative as you would like.

Step 3: Piecing It All Together

Since my center gear was so wide, I started with two large jump rings. Simply open the jump ring with pliers and slide it through the gears you are attaching together. The hardest part of the whole project for me was making sure the jump rings were completely closed. These gears are so thin that they can easily slip out if the jump ring is not securely closed.

Step 4: You Now Have All Your Gears Attached...

You have all your gears connected, the final step is to add one additional jump ring and the spring ring closure.

Once again, make sure they are snugly closed. You don't want to have all the gears as one piece and have the project closure not be secure. I tell you this for a reason, in my excitement to finish and try on the project, I might have, maybe not secured my spring ring well enough.

Step 5: Now You Have Successfully Made Your Bracelet...

Your project is finished, now comes the time you can add that little something special. Pick out an embellishment you want to put atop the large gear and grab your tube of E-6000 glue and simple glue something that represents your personality.

Now, wear your bracelet with pride and when someone asks you where you got it just look at them and say I made it myself and it was easy.
