Intro: Make a Bump Key!

In this video I'll show you how you can make your own bump key using just a triangle file and a key blank!  You can use a bump key to open almost any lock that the key is designed to fit.  Be careful though... you can damage a lock this way!

I have made Six attempt’s and made six bump keys. I got the first two to work once each but have not been able to repeat it since. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ve sent pictures with explanations for them. Somebody please tell me what I’m doing wrong
Too much pressure on key try less pressure when turning key
An interesting and educational video. It demonstrates that common locks
really don't supply much security at all. You can ditch the background music,
though.
Thanks for the kind works. And constructive criticism is always welcome as well!

I really liked the music :)

I especially love the end comment. It just goes to show that locks only keep the honest people in the world honest
I definitely agree with this. I tend to think that locks will prevent crimes of opportunity. Someone might check to see if the door is unlocked and if so, walk right in. If they really want into your house specifically they will get in one way or another.
Thanks for sharing, I did not know it would be that easy (relatively speaking, seeing how many different kinds of locks there are, and how you would need to know the exact type of key used and obtain a few blanks and... well, I do see your point regarding the older tool being more effective ;).
I'm glad you learned something! The really scary thing is most locks used on homes in the USA are probably one of just a few major brands. So if you make a bump key for your own home, chances are it will work on most homes in your neighborhood. If you liked this, you would probably be interested in lock picking and I suggest you look into it. It really helps you to understand how a lock works and why they are not as secure as many people would think.
Really cool great tutorial
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
