Introduction: Make a Resistor
Make a resistor!
Step 1: Needs...
pencil
multimeter
paper
Step 2: Draw a Line
Draw a line that is dark.
The more thin/thick and the more long/short will vary the resistance.
For instance a line that is 4cm long and 5mm thick would be 0.10M ohms.
Step 3: Check the Resistance
check the resistance by putting the tips on each end.
Step 4: Done!
Your done!
Your very own first resistor!
Write under it(make sure it doesn't touch the line!)
the ohms.
you can make lots of line by making it like mine and then you can a pot(potentiometer)!
be sure to check my instructables as well!
Blurry photos as well!

I am guessing this is only for learning. Not to actually use it. I am guessing that actually cutting it out to use it might be a fire hazard since its on paper. LOL

Drawing a line on paper with a pencil doesn't amount to much at all.
Can you acquire data on different pencils, line-widths, paper, resistance values etc, so that this may be turned into something more useful?
