Introduction: Make Your Bike Sound Like a Motorcycle!!!!
Man up your possibly new way to save gas money or just try to be more noticed by cars or pedestrians, whatever it is you can did this to any bike with spokes and with stuff you see about everyday. WATCH THE VIDEO TO LISTEN TO THE BIKE!!
Step 1: Get Your Stuff!
you will need:
Scissors
Playing card
Mask tape or Blue painters tape (not pictured)
Step 2: Tape It Up!!!
Use your masking tape to not mess up your paint job and tape the card on the frame making sure the card touches the spokes.
Step 3: .....
Ride it! Wake up the neighbors the sound is actually pretty loud and the faster you go the more it sounds like a motorcycle! Note: if you constantly ride fast the card will end up ripping. The movie will have sound at the end to have you listen to the bike!!

try a plastic water bottel jammed in the tire well thingy under the seat, and it sounds pretty sweet.

I used to do the same thing back in the sevnties. You might want to try using plastic playing cards. Punch a couple of holes in them and use zip ties to secure to the frame. In the diy spirit you could use a amplifier and loud speaker to play a motorcycle ring tone. Sometimes the simplest hacks are the most satisfying though. Good job on the write-up.

Use the plastic from plastic storage bins instead of playing cards and zip ties to fasten them. Also, you want the plastic to overlap by about half a centimeter.

Try this with a whole deck of cards...

cool, but all u really have to do is run over a can with ur back tire, make sure its stuck, then drive and that works fine too

But that will wear down your tires, or worse...

Another thing to think about, you can "tune" it by moving the card either towards or away from the center.
The closer it is, the lower the frequency because the inner part of the tire moves "slower" than the outer part and "thwaps" the card slower.
Near the edge of the tire, it's moving rather quickly and will even begin to buzz and drone.

as kids, we always used laundry-clips to attach the cards in stead of tape

I am a kid and I love doing this but my cards keep falling off! I tried using water bottles. They fall out so I tied them and now my bike looks like crap! I NEED HELP!

cut a slit in the card so the tape can fit inside of it then make figure 8's with the tape so the card is taped to the frame within the card.
