Make Your Own Cymbal Stand

I had a few cymbals lying around and I didn't have money to buy stand for them. So if you are in the same situation as I am, then this instructable is for you. This is the most easiest and fastest way to make your own stand. You can even customize it the way you want it to be. And talking about the money I spent, it was nothing cause I had all the parts I needed lying around. Well some of you may need to buy a few parts but I can bet on it that it won't cost you much at all.

Step 1: Parts/Materials

You will need -
1x 30mm long bolt (preferably thick )
0.5 inches diameter, 8 feet long PVC pipe.
3/4 inch diameter (6 in numbers) PVC Elbows.
3/4 inch diameter (3 in numbers) PVC T joint.
3/4 inch diameter PVC stopper. (see last picture )
M seal or any other paste to stick the pipes.
One saw to cut the pipes.
Measuring tape.
Lastly, A cymbal.
Please note that the parts mentioned is just to help you know what you will need. You can buy the same or any other specification PVC pipe as per the requirements or your design.
The parts shown above was lying on my terrace so I had to make use of the same.

Step 2: Make the Base.

The base has to be strong so that it can take the weight of the cymbal. Also it should be stable when you are drumming.
I could make the base as shown with the available parts.
You would need to make a stronger design. I'v drawn an example to help you.

Step 3: Making the Stand

Cut the half inch PVC pipe to an approximate length, say half of the height you actually require.
Then join the remaining two elbows as shown and insert the remaining pipe left on the other end of the elbow. Set the angle you require on your kit and stick them all together with the help the paste.
Now you are almost done making your very own stand.

Step 4: Make the Cymbal Holder.

Take the stopper and drill a hole whose diameter is same as the bolt you are using.
Finally insert the bolt into the hole and fix the arrangement on to your stand.
That's it. Attach your cymbal and play to your hearts content. :)
If you want to make it even more cooler, Buy silver paint and paint your stand.
