Introduction: Make Your Own Dried Apple Bits
Dried apple bits are good in snack mixes or for making apple-cinnamon oatmeal. All you need is an apple and some time!
Step 1: Peel and Chop
Peel an apple, then chop it into small chunks.
Step 2: Bake
Spread the chopped apple pieces on a cookie sheet.
Set your oven to the lowest temperature setting (about 150 degrees F) and bake for at least one or two hours.
Step 3: Cool and Store
Let your dried apple bits cool and store them in an airtight container. Enjoy!

Also good for inclusion in homemade trail mix! A dehydrator will give you extra shelf space, but if you live in a warm/dry area you can just put your apple on a screen in a sunny spot.
