Introduction: Makerspace Camera Tutorial

So you made it through the lighting tutorial huh? Congrats! Here comes the hardest part (until the next part) Camerawork!

Supplies

2 4k Video Cameras

2 Charging cables

4 SD Cards

Step 1: Charge Cameras

Making sure the cameras are charged is the BIGGEST thing you need to have a good recording. There are 2 micro-usb cables in the studio that you will use to charge them. Open the flap on the side of the camera to plug them in.

Step 2: SD Cards/ Camera Setup

There is a bottom flap on the cameras where you'll put in the SD cards. There is a little sliding button you have to pull back to open it. After that All you have to do is put the SD card in.

THE GOOD THING

Is that the cameras are already setup, so everything is simple to use. The bad thing is that they are currently set to accommodate melanated skin tones. An easy to do would be to make the camera a bit less saturated and to increase the ISO level for lighter skin tones. Attached is an example of the camera settings.

Step 3: Position/ Angles

Camera angles and positioning depend on the type of video you're recording. Cinematic shots may require closer positions while a general podcast might require a wide angle shot with a corner close up. Attached is a video detailing position basics.

Step 4: CAMERA DONE!!

YOU FINISHED THE CAMERA STUFF!! WOOP WOOP HOORAY YAY!!!! now its time for the hardest part.... prepare yourself....
