Introduction: Makeup for a Perfect Selfie

Here are step-by-step instructions so you'll never have a bad selfie again!

Step 1: Get Rid of Shine

Blot away all that oil with either Clean and Clear oil blotting sheets or a pressed powder!

Step 2: Highlight Your Main Features

Your eyes, cheeks, and lips need to be the standout features. Use mascara, blush, and lipgloss/lipstick to emphasize the three parts of your face.

Step 3: Brush Your Teeth

Teeth REALLY do matter in a picture! If you are near your toothbrush, make sure to brush them. It will get rid of any early-morning coffee stains or that piece of spinach left behind from today's lunch. It also makes them white and shiny!

Step 4: Highlight Your Inner Corner

Add either white eyshadow or shimmer eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eye. It makes you look more wide awake and highlights your eyes, which should be the main focus of a selfie.

Step 5: Volumize Hair

Find your best hair: straight, curly, loose waves, etc. Whatever works best for you. Then, pump up the volume! If you're on the fly, just use your fingers and tease the roots. If you have a comb nearby, simply comb down from the ends of the hair to the root (called teasing). This adds volume and will make your hair flawless for the photo.

Step 6: Find Good Lighting

Good lighting is probably the most important part of any selfie. A window with a lot of light, a lamp that spreads fully across your face, or any source that has lots of natural light will work best. Since we highlighted our main features, they will not get lost in the brightness.

Step 7: Snap the Selfie!

Fly free my loves! You are selfie ready.
