Introduction: Beginner Earrings

This instructable teaches how to make single strand dangle earrings. Have fun!

Step 1: Materials

You will need:
ruler
sharpie
beads of your choice
2 earring hooks
2 headpins
wire cutters
needle nose pliers

The headpins and earring hooks can be purchased at many craft strores, like JoAnn's. I have found that Michael's and JoAnn's have the best supplies of beads.

Step 2: Arrange Beads

Arrange your beads in the order you would like.

Step 3: Put Beads on Headpin

Position the headpin so that the circular flat end is at the bottom. Put your beads on the headpin.

Step 4: Bend Wire

Just above the top bead, clamp on the needle nose pliers. Hold the bottom of the earring and bend with the pliers to create a 90 degree angle.

Step 5: Measure and Mark Wire

Use the ruler to measure about 1/2 in. from the bend in the wire. Using your sharpie or felt tipped marker, mark the 1/2 in. point.

Step 6: Cut Wire

At the place where you marked 1/2 in., use the wire cutters to cut offthe rest of the wire.

Step 7: Curve Wire

At the end of the bent piece of wire, clamp on with the needle nose pliers. Rotate your hand toward the bend in the wire.

Step 8: Secure Hook

Get your earring hook and put the curved piece of wire through the hole in the hook. Using the needle nose pliers, tightly press the ends of the curved section together. It should be secure enough that the hook cannot come off.

Step 9: Enjoy!

Have fun wearring your earrings! :)
