Step 1: Gather Materials

Our materials were purchased from Ace Hardware.

Step 2: Assemble the Wood

This is the start of the construction process where we started building the shape of our cannon.

Step 3: Create Different Heights for Different Launch Angles

In our trials, we used the highest launch angle and the third highest launch angle. The highest launch angle is 49 degrees. The third highest launch angle is 40 degrees. We used the highest launch angle from 2 meters and from 2.5 meters away. We used the third highest launch angle from 3 meters away.

Step 4: Assemble the PVC Pipe

Cut holes on both sides of the PVC pipe to where wood can slide down it.

Step 5: Attach the Spring

The Spring produces the force that shoots the marble. Rest the pipe with the spring on the selected launch angle.

Step 6: Attach the Wood Segment

Slip the wood segment through the top of the PVC pipe and directly on top of the spring.
