Create a natural habitat for beneficial insects this one is from Mason bees one of the most important pollinators

STEP 1: Pick a Good Piece of Tree Trunk

You want a pretty good piece of tree 7/8 inches thick cuz you're going to drill in about four or five inches

STEP 2: Drill Some Holes Wear Eye Protection

Wearing are protection drill some holes about a pencil size and diameter about 4 or 5 inches deep

STEP 3: Add Some Bling and a Way to Hang or Mount

Add a way to mount or hang. This is a gift for a friend so I added a stone butterfly and a quarts Crystal.

Are the holes straight in or do they angle down a bit so water won't stay inside if it rains? Does it matter where you put it? Like is in the shade or sun better?

I see them burrow into people house eves strait up if that helps.
