Introduction: Medieval Dice Tower

About: I LOVE to craft, watch Hamilton, bake, sew, paint, build, and play the flute!

This dice tower is easy and fun to make!

Step 1: Supplies

You Will Need

Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue sticks

Razor Blade

Rulers

Flexible Measuring Tape

Clamp

Heavy Duty Measuring Tape

Corrugated Plastic (or cardboard)

Paint

Zip Ties

Step 2: Cut the Pices

Cut four 4.5 in. by 10 in. rectangles of corrugated plastic you can use the clamps to keep it steady and a ruler to cut it nice and straight.

On the fourth side cut a door for the dice to come out.

You also need to cut the baffles.

These are the measurements,

First and and second baffles: 4 ⅛ x 3 ¾

Third baffle: 4 ⅛ x 5 ⅛

Forth baffle: 4 ⅛ x 5 ⅛

You also need to make the little accessories like a window and shutters but you don't have to.

Step 3: Glue Time

First glue the first three sides together. Do not glue the last one on or you will not be able to put in the baffles. Then put the baffles in. Make sure they are in the order that the last step tells you. Put them in a zig-zag pattern like in the picture make sure you leave space for the dice to come through, and test it with the door to make sure that it works.

Step 4: Main Entriyway

Next you need to make sure that the dice don't get stuck. Make guides like in the picture so the dice definitely come out the door.

Step 5: Side and Accesorys

Next you need to glue the last side on. When the glue is dried, you can add windows and doors. Remember to not cut a hole for the windows - just paint it to look like that.

Step 6: Make the Parapets

These add an amazing touch to the castle! all you need to do is cut a pattern up down like in the picture than glue them on at the top. (You will need four of these.)

Step 7: Texture

Next you need to add some texture to the board. I did it in a brick outline and filled in a few of them. But you can also do a squiggly line or whatever else you want.

Step 8: Spray Paint!

This step is important. You need to put a primer coat on the castle. I used grey so it matched the theme I was going for.

Step 9: Foundation

For the base of the tower I cut out three parts as shown. this was to create the moat and drawbridge look. The base pieces were then primed and painted then assembled and the final coat of paint applied.

Step 10: Golden Vine

You can use hot glue to make this vine you can really choose on this one. I made it wrapping around the castle.

Step 11: Paint!

Now you get to paint! Use shimmery silver and black paint for the castle, and gold for the vine. You should also paint the base. I painted mine green and blue, green for the grass and blue for the water.

Step 12: All Together Now

First glue the base pieces together then glue the castle on. put the drawbridge so the dice roll from the castle to the grass.

Step 13: Zip Ties

Use the zip ties to make a fence around the side. You can also make little accessory with the zip ties like little chains for the draw bridge and things like that.
