Introduction: Melt Metal Into Wood *Live on TV YouTube Play Button

About: We are just a couple of friends who love shooting how to videos with a touch of funny. Our goal is to make how to videos great again, just like America!

So my daughter asked me to make a you tube play button for one of her favorite youtubers, Unspeakablegaming. So lets make it live! I used Zebra Wood and will be pouring molten liquid metal pewter into the wood for an inlay. I haven't done this in a while so fingers crossed LOL.

I will also be using an epoxy finish, wow...here goes!

Step 1: What You Need

I used zebra wood, lead free pewter, a crucible and map gas to melt it.

Step 2: Router

I used a router to cut the pattern I was going to in lay. Be sure to use a dovetail bit to help lock in the metal.

Step 3: Get Your Motor Running!

I then heated up the pewter and poured it into the wood.

Step 4: Sand and Finish

I then sanded the pewter flush to the wood and put on a super shiney epoxy finish!
