Step 1: The Base.
Step 1: Gather materials.
Step 2: Get the wire and wire cutters.
Step 3: Measure wire to fit around your head, leave an extra inch. Then mark with pointer and thumb finger by holding it.
Step 4: Cut wire where your hand was.
Step 5: Hold both ends of wire with one inch overlapping.
Step 6: Use wire cutters to bend the one inch of wire around the other end of wire.
Step 7: Drip a 2-3 drops of super glue over the spiraled wire.
Step 8: Take 2 colors of yarn and tie the ends of each color into a double knot.
Step 9: Super glue the knot on/around your wire.
Step 10: Wrap yarn all the way around the wire until there is no more showing. Add a drop of super glue every 3-4 inches.
Step 11: Once all wire is covered, super glue the end to the beginning. Then cut access yarn.
Step 12: Let dry.
Step 2: The Crown.
Step 1: Grab your 9 jumbo popsicle sticks.
Step 2: On one jumbo popsicle, use sharpie or a marker to create 2 diagonal lines that meet in the center. One line on each edge. The lines should be one inch long.
Step 3: Cut along the lines.
Step 4: Take sandpaper and sand down the edges and round the top out to your liking. (This way you won't get any splinters).
Step 5: Cut 2 more jumbo popsicles sticks 1/4 inch away from the top straight across.
Step 6: Repeat steps 2-4.
Step 7: Cut 2 more jumbo popsicle sticks but 1 1/2 inches away from the top. Use step 5 as reference.
Step 8: Repeat 2-4.
Step 9: Repeat step 7 but with 2 inches, then repeat 2-4.
Step 10: Cut your last two jumbo popsicle sticks 3 inches away from the top, the repeat 2-4.
Step 11: Starting with the tallest/first popsicle stick, super glue the stick onto the yarn covered wire base (the one you created earlier.) Glue the stick where you want the crown to be centered.
Step 12: Glue the second tallest popsicle sticks on to each side of the centered popsicle sticks. The sticks should touch but not overlap one another. Now you should have three sticks glued onto your crown going from tall, tallest, and back to tall.
Step 13: Repeat step 12 two more times but, with the third tallest sticks and then the fourth tallest.
Step 14: Apply hot glue or super glue to where each popsicle touches one another, that way they're all connected.
Step 15: Let dry completely.
Step 16: You can sand down the glue or you can leave it.
Step 3: Decorating.
Step 1: Get water colors, paint brushes, and everything you want to put on your crown.
Step 2: Paint the popsicle sticks with water color.
Step 3: Use super glue to glue on your decorations, I glued on seashells, gems, broken sand dollars, and sea-urchin spines. You can buy other decorations but, I already had these shells.
Step 4: Then you can paint your decorations or leave them blank.
Step 5: Using super glue, I glued chain onto the bottom of the wire crown using super glue. I glued them using super glue. (OPTIONAL)
Step 6: I laser cut a moon, painted it, and put stick on gems on it. I then glued it to the front of the crown on the chain so that it would dangle on my forehead.
