Introduction: Metal Ring

About: My name is Joshua O'Meara. I like iPhones (and other similar devices), swimming, soccer, carpentry, running, and other outdoor activities.

This plain but fashionable ring is easy to make. It can be made in less than 1 hour. Here's how to make it.

Step 1: Supplies

You will need a hacksaw, file, 2 pliers, and a piece of metal pipe. Optional: vice

Step 2: Filing

It is easiest to do this first, but it can also be done after the cutting too. Clamp the pipe in the vice and file the end until it shines.

Step 3: Cutting

Cut the filed end off to your desired length. This will be the length, or height of your ring.

Step 4: More Filing

Clamp the ring in the vice. Not hard, for you will bend it, but firm enlighten to hold it in place. Take a circular file and file the inside smooth.

Step 5: More Cutting

Clamp ring in vice again. This time put it in on its side like in the picture. It the ring like in the picture. Then open it with two pliers

Step 6: Yet More Filing!

Use the triangular file to file down the sharp edges.

Step 7: Finishing Touches

Size the ring by either adjusting it with pliers to match your other rings or just kinda guessing and trying it on.

Step 8: Sport It!

Now you're done! Wear it around.
