Introduction: Mexidos, Portuguese Christmas Dessert
This Recipe it's a tradicional dessert from the north of Portugal, from Viana do Castelo.
Since I can remember, my mum always makes this on Christmas day so I decided to share it with you. The only down to this is that you need Porto wine (a typical wine from Portugal) but I'm sure you can find it in most of the supermarkets and it's really worth it, trust me!!!

Ingredients: (for 6 people)
- 150g sugar
- 60g ground almonds
- 50g raisins
- half cup of milk
- a tiny cup of Porto wine
- 100 ml water
- 100g inner soft part of white bread
- teaspoon of butter
- a cinnamon stick
- 5 egg yolks
