Intro: Microsoft AutoCorrect Prank

Fool your friends with the hilarious prank with Microsoft Word

***DISCLAIMER***
I  IN NO WAY RECOMMEND USING THIS PRANK IN A PUBLIC PLACE (Library, school, etc.) SO I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES!!!

STEP 1: You Will Need...

 1) Microsoft Word
Thats it!! Though I do not use this program for all of my typing for school and such, but if you do, this could be hilarious...

STEP 2: Starting Off...

Now that you have all that you will need, lets get started. First, fire up a new document. Then, go into Tools> AutoCorrect. (on a PC, it might say something different, just make sure it has something to do with the AutoCorrect)

STEP 3: Now to Work the Magic

Assuming that you have done everything correctly, you should see the dialog below, or something like it (Picture #1).

Type something in like in the below picture (Picture #2)

 Then, click OK.

STEP 4: Now... Wait

Wait for someone to come by and type. I recommend using a more common word like a, or the, for better results. If you use a word like Hippopomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, you will get bad results.

***IMPORTANT***
Make sure you delete the entry after you are done, by selecting it and clicking delete.

Is that Office 2001? Thats what i use on my mac.
Yes it is Office 2001. I prefer the programs that come with a Mac (Pages, Keynote, Numbers, etc.) but Word has its ups and downs. (Mostly downs...) Anyways, thank you for viewing my Instructable and hope you found it helpful!
:-)   I suppose this could be done with any "word checker" especially if they are referencing a text based file for their words:  like FireFox etc.   Of course, the files would have to be searched out, but the method would be the same.

I use Open Office myself, but they probably have a similar setup......just out of curiosity, I may go check later.
Yes. It should work just fine on OpenOffice. My friend uses it and I think it may be better. Also, it is good because it is free!
