I was missing 2 torches near the bottom was my only problem building this. Once I put those in it zippers like it should. Problem is 1.8.8 seams to behave differently when it comes to steps so you don't go UP like you should (atleast that is what I am finding.) So back to the uphill water trick.

Sorry but without pics there is nothing to say but tear it down and rebuild. Sorry it took so long to reply.

I changed one thing and it started to work - however, I can only get up like 2 blocks before I get stuck and it doesn't take me up further. Both sides move like they should up to the top, but I can't seem to ride it all the way up now.

I've checked and double checked the wiring. I can't find anything wrong, but only one side goes up - the side that has the pressure plate. I spent a lot of time building it - I'd hate to tear it down and have to start from scratch. Any ideas?

I made this before but it was really confusing the way they did it. I could easily follow the instructions and it worked.
