Introduction: Minecraft House

You will be able to build a house very similar to this one if you follow my suggestions for the best house in minecraft! These are only suggestions, you don't need to follow everything I do; you can make things how you like them, not just copy me.

Step 1: Step 1: the Outside

You'll want to build a 10 wide 10 long and 10 high base in minecraft. You'll want to be in creative so you have easier access to materials (the command is /gamemode 1). The bottom 4 blocks of the house will want to be obsidian so you can make a lava moat without having your house catch on fire. The four corners of the house should be oak log (not planks) because that looks very nice if you border your house with that. You'll want the rest to be wooden planks except for windows. I recommend two layers of glass that are eye level (one off of the ground). The top of the house should be a pyramid of netherock that every other row should be on fire.

Step 2: Step 2: the Lava Moat

Begin the lava moat by building up a wall four blocks high so mobs cannot enter. Once that is built with obsidian begin adding lava along both sides of the wall. If you built the wall too low against the wall of your house then it will catch your house on fire and all the wood will burn. Once you fill both sides with lava then you will need to fill the middle until it looks nice and has no current.

Step 3: Step 3: the Inside Bottom Floor

Build 3 obsidian in the middle of the floor to the other side and built a ladder to the upstairs floor. On one side, make the floor lava. On the other side make the floor water. Make sure not to step on the lava side if you are not in creative.

Step 4: Step 4: Sleeping Quarters

Add a standing oak log to each corner of the room. Put a flower pot on them and put a flower in them. Put beds four beds inbetween them for you and your pals to sleep in.

Step 5: Step 5: Practical Items

In another corner next to the ladder entry to upstairs, put a crafting table, furnace, and double chest. This will be very practical for when you actually play so you can store, bake, and make things.

Step 6: Step 6: Recreation Room

In another corner, put in two side by side stairs and put blank signs on the ends of them. In front of them on the wall put down a large painting, recommended 4x4 at least. Don't forget to put down a jukebox next to it so your guests will have sound. Behind the first stairs, put down 4 stairs across and one on each side so you can turn the stairs into a sofa/lounge.

Step 7: Step 7: Inside Roof

Put one glowstone smack dab in the middle of the ceiling. Skip one block around it on all sides and put a glowstone there. Continue the process until you cannot any more. This will make a overhead lighting for you.

Step 8: Step 8: Fire Roof

Make a pyramid on your roof out of netherock. Make sure it ascends one block each level. On the first level, light it on fire with flint and steel. On the next level, skip it and leave that regular so you can have a buffer between the fire. The next level after that you can light that on fire. Continue the process until you are done your amazing house.
