Introduction: Mini Lego KA-BAR Space Force Knife

About: I enjoy making knifes, leather projects, amateur jewelry and what ever else I can get into! I also have a YouTube channel with other projects! Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee…

I recently acquired a US space force combat knife made by KA-BAR! It's such a awesome knife after I saw the small and large contest I decided to make a mini version! So let's get started!

Supplies

Lego knife

Knife

USSF KA-BAR knife for inspiration! (Or picture of one lol)

Paint brush

Toothpick

21482E Bimini blue acrylic paint

Dremil with a abrasive bit any kind is fine
(optional)

Spray clear coat

Step 1: Finding a Knife and Shaping the Blade

First I needed a knife, the obvious choice was a lego knife (for many reasons!) It was easy to get, tiny, close to the right shape, and extremely cool! This Next step is optional, I used a dremel to shape the blade and make it look a little more like the KA-BAR fighting knife! (I wanted it to be as close the the original as possible)I then used a small knife to clean up were the dremel ground the plastic knife blade.

Step 2: Painting the Handle

To get the blue handle I used a small paint brush and some acrylic paint. To get close to the guard I used a toothpick.

Step 3: Clear Coat and the End!

To help the paint stay on a little better I use some clear coat spray. And that's it! I am happy with how this turned out and think it looks awesome! Hope you enjoyed this instructables thanks for reading it!
