Introduction: Mini S'mores Dessert Recipe
This will show you how to make mini s'mores! They're super tasty and I love making these for parties. It's a fun way to get guests involved with making them and they make a great group dessert or sweet appetizer!
I got this recipe from Dan Whalen's book, S'mores!: Gooey, Melty, Crunchy Riffs on the Campfire Classic: https://amzn.to/2Lmw3YZ
Let's get to it!
Supplies
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- Mini marshmallows
- Chocolate chips
Step 1: Turn on the Brolier
You could probably also use the oven or a toaster oven but it would take a bit longer.
Step 2: Arrange the Bottom Cinnamon Toast Crunch Pieces
This will act like the bottom graham cracker.
Step 3: Place the Chocolate Chips
Place a chocolate chip on each Cinnamon Toast Crunch piece. Don't use mini chocolate chips like I did in the photos, they were way to finicky!
Step 4: Broil for 1 Minute
This will melt the chocolate a bit.
Step 5: Place the Mini Marshmallows
Place a mini marshmallow on each mini s'more.
Step 6: Broil for 3 Minutes
Get those marshmallows nice and toasty! Broil for 2 minutes if you don't want the char on the marshmallows.
Step 7: Place the Top Cinnamon Toast Crunch Piece
Smush them down!
Step 8: Enjoy!
I love this because it actually toasts the Cinnamon Toast Crunch! It sort of caramelizes the cinnamon on the cereal which goes really well with the toasted marshmallows and melted chocolate.
Please let me know your thoughts on this recipe, if you try it yourself, and any ideas to improve the dish.
