Flying a kite is interesting. In Japan, there are a lot of the contests of Kite flying. Kites are sold everywhere in Japan. Long ago, Buddhist monks brought the first kites to Japan with the religious meaning. Nowadays, kites are used like as the entertainment, relax meaning. Miss La Sen is seen as a popular icon for the souvenir gifts, spring rolls...etc

Step 1: Use 2 the Half-square Triangles, 39cm Long Each Edge.

Step 2: Download This Pattern for the Miss La Sen Head. Print It in A4 Size Paper.

Step 3: Cut 2 Half-square Triangles on the Washi Japanese Paper or the Smart-Fab Art & Decoration Fabric.

Step 4: Sew or Glue 2 Triangles Together. Take the Long Bamboo Stick.

Step 5: Use 3 Bamboo Sticks and Glue Them Onto the Edges of the Kite Like Picture.

Step 6: Behind the Kite, Put the Fourth Bamboo Stick Horizontally on the Kite. Glue It.

Punch 2 holes to add the string, one hole near the top and one near the bottom.

Step 7: Cut the Miss La Sen Head

Step 8: Cut the Headband and Glue It Onto the Head

Step 9: Cut the Bow and the Flower. Glue Them Onto the Head

Step 10: Cut the Eyes, Cheeks, Mouth... Glue Them

Step 11: Glue the Miss La Sen Head Onto the Kite.

Step 12: Cut 3 Long Strings on the Smart-Fab Art and Decoration Fabric.

Step 13: Glue the 3 Strings Onto the Bottom of the Kite. Poke the String Onto the 4 Holes.

Step 14: Use the Acrylic Colors to Paint, Decorate the Kite. You Can Make Fly This Kite for Your Kid.

If you want to hang this kite for decoration, you can poke a tiny zinc wire behind the kite. Miss La Sen icon has protective and lucky meaning, so you can hang it for decoration.

Step 15: ​Cut the 2 Shorter Strings on the Smart-Fab Art and Decoration Fabric.

Glue them onto the 2 apexes of the kite's bottom.

Step 16: Instead of Using the Triangle Form, You Can Use the Square Form for the Kite Shape.
