I always felt the need of a stand for a mobile, mostly for those people who spend most of the time sitting in their desk.

So I thought of converting my design into a real stand.

You can also do this if you have all these necessary tools & time :)

(Wood, Wood cutter, Wood rasp File, drill-gun, C-clamp, rubber, & glue.)

Step 1: Drawing the Design on the Wood.

First I did the marking on the wood according to the mobile size, so that it fits in.

Step 2: Ready to Cut.

Now i just cut the wood according to the marking with the wood cutter.

Be careful that you are holding the wood in some Clamp and not in your hand.

I then took a piece of Rubber and glued it in, and put another piece of wood and Clamped it so it sticks properly.

And then used the wood-file & Sand-Paper to smooth it out.

And finally after using the sand paper and making all the surfaces smooth, this is what you get.

If you are a regular user of pen or pencil, you can simply make a hole in the back side.
