Here is a recycling idea. Use your kid shoes to build a smart mobile holder without doing any mods.
You can extend this idea by drilling a hole in the sole and connect your charger from inside.

This would be very strange in Holland. We have here a holliday called: 'Sinterklaas' and the kids get presents in their shoes. So if I put something in a shoe I think my little brother will think it's for him..
