Intro: Monkey Fist Key Chain or Necklace

Hi, this is a very cool knot that you can have as a amazing key chain or an awesome necklace. It's pretty easy and to for worn the hardest part is tightening the monkeys fist. Let's start!

STEP 1: Materials

You're going to need about 3 feet of 2 different color of paracord and something to cut with

STEP 2: Making the Fist

I have photos of this whole process to, so please fallow along. First make an overhand knot(this will be the inside of the monkeys fist) now you're going to pick the color you want least to start rapping around your fingers. Next take your other color ( after tucking the overhand knot inside) and start going around everything. Next to go inside the knot with the same strand. Good job you're half way there!

STEP 3: Tightening the Monkeys Fist

This is the hardest part, you just half to fallow the first string end that made the overhand knot and keep taking the slack out of it and it will turn out perfect. I'm sorry I don't have pics to explain what I mean so please feel free to look up a video to do this part.

STEP 4: Making It Into a Key Chain or a Necklace

This part is easy, with the slack just tie an overhand knot to the right length to fit over your head or to the likings of yourself for a key chain.

Thank you for reading, please comment if you made it or to give me some constructive criticism.

I have made monkey fists with para-cord, and you are right, tightening it up is pretty difficult. I start off thinking about what would tighten what, but eventually I end up pulling random parts to tighten them up. The random way isn't very fast though. :P

Para cord is really fun stuff to work with, but you never forget what it is like to get melted cord on your skin. I voted for this, BTW.

Thank you so much for the vote and yes don't melt it to your skin I've done in many of times.

No problem. The worst part of it getting on your skin is when you try to pull it off, it just kind of stretches and sticks..
