Introduction: Mother's Day Card

About: A crafter and flower arranger from the UK

I often make cards for special occasions and so decided I would make a quick and easy card for my Mum for Mother's Day. This whole card only cost around 70p to make and can be customised to suit your purpose.

Step 1: Tools and Materials

Tools

- Scissors

- Die Cutting Machine (If you want to cut out letters)

- Flower punch

Materials

- Gatefold card

- Floral decoupage sheet

- Silver card

- Mothers Day Peel off/Sticker

- Pre cut letters

- Pre cut flowers

- Adhesive gems

- 3d Spacers

- Glue ( I used UHU glue )

Step 2: Decorating the Inside

I stuck the floral patterned sheet onto the silver card, leaving a small border around the outside about 5mm thick. I then stuck this piece into the centre of the card.

Step 3: Cutting Out and Attaching Shapes

I cut out shapes from another piece of matching patterned paper to make a 3D effect. After cutting each piece out I stuck some adhesive 3D spacers on the back and layered them onto the central piece.

Step 4: Decorating the Front

I cut out another flower from a matching piece of patterned paper and stuck it onto the left side over the top of the inner flower. I then attached some peel offs saying "Happy Mother's Day" to the top left side.

I had some flowers and letters cut out with a punch and die cutting machine earlier. I stuck the flowers onto the bottom left side and adorned them with adhesive gems for a more 3D look.

I had some blue letters which are slightly larger than the pink letters, I glued these on first. Then using some 3D spacers I placed the pink letters on top, to give them a blue border around the outside as well as a more 3D look.

Step 5: The Finished Card

When the glue is all dry you're ready to give the card to your mum!
