Introduction: Mounting Brackets

This is a project I made using Sugru. Sugru is a very interesting product that has several very interesting qualities. It is: heat resistant, waterproof, conducts electricity, is flexible after it dries and is very strong. I decided to make mounting brackets for unframed artist's canvas. These are thicker than most brackets will allow. I also wanted to make them to integrate with the art piece so that they added to the art.

Step 1:

These are the only tools needed for this.

Step 2:

First I formed the bracket and made sure it was 90* so that the art would mount straight. Then I formed the petals.

Step 3:

Next I mounted the petals to the bracket. Then I used the skewer to make a hole for the mounting screw.

Step 4:

Sugru only takes 24 hours to dry and set. Once it sat for 24 hours, it was ready to install.
