Introduction: Multicolor Light Up Add on for the PVC Ocarina

About: recently unemployed, I like to make things just to see if I can,

In this instructable you will learn how to make a single multicolor LED light up add on to the PVC Ocarina!
This add on will light up the inside of the ocarina various colors.
Now who doesn't like to light up things with LEDs?

Step 1: Tools and Materials

tools and materials:
a High-Brightness 7-Color 5mm Blinking LED from Radioshack Catalog #: 276-016
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3060680
a momentary push-button switch
some wire
some medium CA
drill and drill bits
a 3.3V lithium batter (WARNING DO NOT SOLDER STRAIT ON TO BATTERIES, YOU WILL BLOW YOUR SELF UP)
1 1/4" SCH PVC cap

Step 2: Pull the End Plug

pull out the end plug of the ocarina and drill a hole to accommodate the LED.
Make a counter sink on the inside of the plug.
Drill a hole in the cap to accommodate the push button.

Step 3: Put Together the Circuit

solder a black wire on to the cathode (-), a red wire to the anode (+) and the push button to the control lead (the third lead with the green arrow pointed at it)

P. S. you can use a single color LED if you like.

Test the circuit. plug in the led to the battery (which had a built in connector) and grounding the third (control) lead.
when you fist apply power to this LED it will run through a series of colors. After word when you press the button it will alternate between a color or go into sleep mode (off).

Step 4: Put It Back Together

glue the LED into the plug and stuff the rest into the cap.
Put the plug backinto the ocarina where you had it before and put the cap onto the ocarina and your done.

Step 5: Paint to Match

paint the cap to match the rest of the ocarina, that is if you painted it to begin with.
Enjoy......at night too!
