My Fuzzy Wuzzy Was He?

Introduction: My Fuzzy Wuzzy Was He?

About: If it looks remotely possible to knit or crochet it- I want it. Yes , I am a yarn junky and proud of it!

This Fuzzy guy was so quick to make and only used a small amount of yarn. I crocheted him using Lion Brand Fun Fur along with Lion brand wool. The pattern called for holding two strands of fun fur together , but I found using one of wool and one fun fur MUCH easier to handle. I used dark brown wool and Light caramel fun fur fro the body, black fur for around the eye and back of the head. I also glued on a flat backed bead for the center of the eye.
I barely had time to photogragh him before my nine year old "claimed " him! Hope you have fun making this one. THE FREE PATERN IS ON LION BRAND YARN.COM!!

Do you still have the pattern available? Lion Brand doesn't have it on their site anymore. Thanks!

Sorry, I don't get it. It looks rather creepy with one big eye.

That's exactly what I think the designer was aiming for . He's supposed to look "rather creepy". Many children love things that are just a bit scary, yet totally safe. He was the hit of the superbowl party and "WATCHED" the game with 17 boys (7-13) who thought he "rocked". He's just interesting and strange- like the "alien " thing. MOM of 6 boys, so I'm acclimated to slightly scary!

"Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair, Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't very fuzzy, was he?" Anyone remember the bear-shape soap from the 70's that would grow hair as it dried? It was called Fuzzy Wuzzy.

Anybody else think this is strangely reminiscent of a cross between a vortigaunt and one of the tentacles from "Day of the Tentacles?"

He's adorable! The eye makes it just a teeny bit spooky. ;)
