Introduction: My Holiday in a Ocean Pendant

About: I like to create fantastic jewelry !!!

Today, I present to you my Instructable on the topic of WATER.

I'm used to making jewelry of all kinds, but this time I wanted to participate in this competition despite the difficulty of mixing textile jewelry embroidered with soutache with Water.

However, I love challenges and that's how I got the crazy idea of keeping a piece of my seaside vacation this summer in a pendant to wear everywhere with you.
I collected many shells of all shapes on the beach and in the water, which very quickly inspired me to create this very original Jewel. I played on the water filling and the air bubble in order to imitate the effect of the sea and the sky as well as possible.

So I decided to reform a dream seabed, as we would always like to discover it: very clear blue Water, rich in shells, fine sand, underwater flowers and reflections of light.

The part "making the seabed" is up to everyone. As long as you have a lot of patience and thoroughness.
Make room for your imagination to create your most Beautiful Ocean !!!! And turn it into a real Unique Jewel.

Materials used to turn it into a jewel:

- Small seed beads (blue & pink) https://amzn.to/3BzARDb
- 1 Faceted crystal drop (blue) https://amzn.to/3kPGRSv

Step 1: Collect All the Material

You have to gather all the material in 2 parts:

- 1 part to create the seabed with the Water.

- 1 part which is all the ornament around this one.

Step 2: Making the Small Container

Draw the shape of the lid with a pen on the sheet of plexyglass, then cut.

Step 3: Recreate the Seabed

Place a drop of Attack glue at the bottom of the lid to deposit the beige-colored grains (to imitate sand).

Then do the same with the blue grains to mimic the surface of the Water.

Place 2 drops of glue to put the 2 shells. Cut a flower from the stick to secure it in the center.
Put some blue glitter in the background, to imitate the reflections of light in the Water.

Step 4: Tint the Water

Put Water in a glass.

Add a little powder blue diy in the water, until you get an intense and luminous blue.
Aspirate a little water with the syringe. Then place some in the cabochon. Do not fill to the top in order to leave an air bubble imitating the sky.

Step 5: Seal Off the Pendant

Dry the edges of the cabochon to put the liquid glue. Then glue over the round of plexyglass. Wait a few minutes and check that the Water does not flow out.

Step 6: Beautify This Little Ocean

Take the materials needed to decorate the Water cabochon.
Have a precise idea of the shape to give to the jewel. It is best to make a sketch before you start to embroider.

Step 7: Embroider Around the Water Cabochon

Take the 3 blue colors of soutache strings. Sew them together around the cabochon with the needle and nylon thread. Then unify them.

Step 8: Embed Pearls

Add the 3 rows with the faceted beads in this order: turquoise, yellow and blue.

For the back part of the jewel, place a drop of liquid glue on the soutache string before cutting it. This prevents to slip away.

Step 9: Seed Bead Border

Sew 2 long beads on each side. Then sew the seed beads all around in series of 3 beads: 1 blue, 1 pink and 1 blue.

Step 10: Water Drop

Sew down the crystal bead in the shape of a drop of Water.

Step 11: Necklace

Thread a small connecting ring in the central bead. Then put a larger ring on it using the pliers and thread the necklace there.

Step 12: My Little Ocean

You have now recreated a seabed in a small water bubble. You can carry the souvenir of your beach vacation with you everywhere in a very original way.

This is a pretty Necklace with an Ocean Pendant.
