Intro: My Pond, Mi Estanque De Jardin

Hi this is my first instructable and i want to share with the instructables comunity my little garden pond , its made from concrete and sedimentary stone that in México we call "laja",and a little bit of river stone to give the fishes a place to hide, also i put some aquatic plants , and a bonsai tree "Taxodium mucronatum" this is called in "México" Sabino or Ahuehuete , this tree needs a lot of watter to live and the pond with my little koi fishes make a susentable mini ecosystem.
In the pond lives 2 Koi fishes, and about 30 little fishes that i dont know wich kind they are, and a plecostomus to clean a little bit the watter.
Also the watter passes through a home made filter made of sand , gravel , industrial cotton , and activated carbon, to keep the watter clean and combat most part of the seaweed.The filter is powered by a Boyu pump i love this pump because it moves the watter , oxygen the watter and i can use the fountain exit to push the watter through the filter also the electrical consumption its about 8 watts, and the best part this pump its very cheam about 20 USD.
And my litte dog love to drink watter from the pond and play around .

Que tal este es mi primer intructable , y quiero compartir mi estanque con la comunidad de instructables , esta hecho de concreto y laja, algunas piedras de rio para darle a los peces un lugar donde esconderse y algunas plantas acuaticas, tambien tiene un bonsai "Taxodium mucronatum" mejor conocido como sabino o ahuehuete, este arbol requiere mucha agua y en el estanque se alimenta directamente de ella y de los dechos de los peces haciendo un pequeño ecosistema.
En ele estanque viven 2 peces koi , y unos 30 peces pequeños que no tengo idea de que especie sean, y un plecostomus para limpiar un poco el alga..
El agua pasa atravez de un filtro que esta hecho de arena grava, algodon industrial y carbon activado. el filtro esta impulsado por una bomba Boyu, me encanta esta bomba por que mueve el agua , la oxygena y la salida para fuente que tiene la uso para hacer el agua pasar por el filtro, su consumo electrico es alrededor de 8 watts y lo mejor es que son muy baratas alrededor de 200 pesos mexicanos.
A mi perro le encanta tomar agua del estanque
Espero hayan encontrado algunas ideas para su jardin en mi instructable cualquier duda pregunten, y recuerden trabajen con seguridad, reciclen y planten un arbol.

una pregunta en donde puedo encontrar en el df la bomba boyu que mencionas he buscado y nada son muy pequeñas las existentes. Excelente instructable¡¡¡

La bomba que tenia boyu la compre en la central de abastos de tultitlan con un amigo que vendia acuarios pero puedes conseguir en mercadolibre . si lo que quieres es una bomba sumergible mas potente te recomiendo que te des una vuelta por las calles de victoria y articulo 123 en el centro ahi puedes conseguir de varios tamaños hasta muy grandes , espero la informacion te sirva

Gracias, solo quisiera recomendarte que tomes en cuenta la posicion de las sombras de los arboles al construir tu estanque, que le de lo menor posible la luz del sol para que el filtro que construyas trabaje lo menos posible, en mi caso en verano le da mucha luz y tengo que cubrirlo para que no se generen algas, Suerte con tu proyecto espero pongas fotos para verlo

Very nice pond with a lot of good habitat for the fish. You might also be able to grow a plant on the bank of the pond to feed the fish. I know that some fish eat mulberries, for example, which drop into the pond. That would be a complete ecosystem for sure.

Thanks for your comment, i have some plants wrowing into the pond,but no one of my fishes eat them,but they help to complete the nitrogen cycle to keep the water clear and odorless, i will investigate about mulberries, thanks for the idea.
