Introduction: My Favorite 4 Easy Homemade Detox Water Recipes
As you know (or may not know yet), we need 8-12 cups of water everyday. I found it difficult to reach as I really can't drink that much plain water. However when the water is tasty and detox, that's another story.
Here are my favorite 4 recipes for detox water, they are really really easy to make but the taste and nutrition is so much better than plain water!
On the last step I will show you my flower ice cubes in the pictures! Enjoy!
Step 1: Recipe 1: Watermelon Detox Water
This is the best tasting recipe so far -- especially when it's summer!
You will need:
-- 1/4 Watermelon
-- 3-4 slices of lemon
-- 7-8 mint leaves
-- 2 bottles of water
Instruction:
Just simply cut watermelon into small cubes, put those cubes, slices of lemon and mint leaves into the water and wait for about 2 hours. Add ice cubes if you prefer.
Step 2: Recipe 2: Cucumber Detox Water
This is the most refreshing one among the four-- especially if you love the taste of cucumber!!
You will need:
-- 1 cucumber
-- 5-6 strawberries
-- 7-8 basil leaves (I used fresh ones for lighter taste)
-- 2 bottles of water
Instruction:
Just simply slice the cucumber and half the strawberries, put them along with the basil leaves into the water and wait for about 2 hours. Add ice cubes if you prefer.
Step 3: Recipe 3: Pineapple Detox Water
As you can see the other two recipes require 2 hours to soak the ingredients for the best taste. This pineapple detox will show you a faster way to do it--- no waiting time at all!
You will need:
-- 1/4 Pineapple
-- 5-6 mint leaves
-- 1 bottle of water (or more)
-- some ice cubes
-- a shaker
Instruction:
1. Cut the pineapple into cubes.
2. Put mint leaves into the shaker and smash them.
3. Put ice cubes and pineapple cubes into the shaker as well.
4. Shake Shake Shake Shake until you got the desired taste.
Step 4: Recipe 4: Citrus Detox Water
This recipe is definitely made for those citrus lovers!
You will need:
-- 1/2 Grapefruit
-- 1 orange
-- 2-3 slices of lime
-- 1 slice of lemon
-- optional: mint leaves
-- 2 bottles of water
Instruction:
Cut out the skin and remove the white tissues of grapefruit and orange, cut them into tubes. Slice the lime and lemon and put everything in the water and wait for about 30-40 minutes. Enjoy!!
Tip: The citrus one doesn't need that much waiting time as the first two recipes.
Step 5: Bonus: How to Make Flower Ice Cubes
As you can see in the first step, there are some beautiful flower ice cubes instead of ordinary ice cubes. These are very easy to make as well. Just buy a package of edible flowers, wash them, and put them into the ice tray before you pour in the water.
After freeze it, Viola!! Your beautiful ice cubes are ready to use!
(They are not functional, but they're really lovely and beautiful to use)
