Intro: Nautical Paracord Bracelet

Today, I present to you the Nautical paracord bracelet. IMPORTANT soak all of the paracord in water overnight then let it dry because paracord shrinks in water and with the shrinking already finished, the measurements are more accurate.

STEP 1: Materials Needed

4-5 feet of Paracord
scissors
a lighter
paracord jig (optional)
pliers (optional)

STEP 2: Starting the Bracelet

Do a normal cows hitch on one side of the buckle

STEP 3: Finishing

IMPORTANT if you want a fancier bracelet, do not cut the cords and melt

STEP 4: Finishing

IMPORTANT if you want a fancier bracelet, do not cut the cords and melt

STEP 5: Cutting the Cord

Acquire 10 ft of cord and cut the cord In half so you have two 5 ft strands

STEP 6: Preparing the Cord

gut the cord (remove the smaller white strings from the inside)

STEP 7: Creating the Bracelet

loosen the cobra knot and thread the gutted cored through

STEP 8: Cutting the Cords

IMPORTANT do NOT cut the gutted cords, only the cords with the white string still inside

STEP 9: Creating the Bracelet

using one gutted strand, wrap it around the cord strand

STEP 10: Finishing the Bracelet

pull the gutted cord throughout the cow's hitch.

STEP 11: Finishing the Bracelet

carefully cut and melt the gutted cord

STEP 12: Finishing the Bracelet

do the same thing with the other strand

STEP 13: Finishing the Bracelet

melt the end of the gutted cord

STEP 14: Finished!

Why gut the Paracord. You are basically ruining the Paracord. If I were you I would leave the core strands in so if you need paracord and only have this bracelet then you may be out of luck!

i think someone else made this already click on the link to see

What he did was use non gutted Paracord and one strand. I used two strands, the core strand which was not gutted, and the working strands which I had gutted previously. My method is more complicated, but looks cleaner and sharper because of the gutted cords

Nice. What's nautical about it? Or is it just a name?

The nautical part is just a name, but I haven't seen any Paracord Instructables with that name so I called it the Nautical Paracord Bracelet instead of naming it after some snake
