Introduction: No-Sew Victorian Collar From Old Shirt

It is so simple!

Step 1: Cut the Collar

. This is so simple I am almost embarrassed to post. I was looking for a victorian style collared shirt for a steampunk/wild-weird west costume. I did not want to spend any money and my sewing skills are minimal. I did find an old blue pin-stripe shirt and decided that it would be period-proper. I Simple cut the collar off just above the stitching. I was careful not to nick into the lower part of the collar and only cut the upper part.

Step 2: Glue

The edge of the collar was frayed and I had no idea how to sew this so it would look nice. I dabbed a small amount of "super-glue" along the edge (not so much that it would penetrate the fabric and create a stain). I was amazed that it actually worked!
