Introduction: OVERHEAD WATER TANK CIRCUIT WITHOUT USING ANY IC OR CAPACITORS

About: HI GUYSSS...I AM THE STUDENT OF CITY MONTESSORI SCHOOL CHOWK MY GOAL IS TO MAKE ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS WITH AS LESS COMPONENTS AS POSSIBLE. I'M EXPERIMENTING AND WORKING ON THE SAME. I HAD SUCCEEDED IN MAKI…

HI FRIENDSSSSSS.....

Want to make overhead water tank circuit. But you are not getting CD4066 IC as it is not eaisly available.

Don't worry this project doesn't want any IC OR CAPACITOR.

This project is based on the priciple of real over head water tank circuit.

NOTE: USE ONLY TAP WATER NOT THE DISSTILLED WATER AS IT DOESN'T CONDUCT ELECTRICITY.

All the positive terminal of four leds are connected togethere with positive 9v or 12v source and the negative terminal is fixed on the bottom most surface.

All the negative terminal of led's are connected with wire as per the height required at 1/4th ,1/2nd, 3/4th and lastly at the top most level.

As water is filled in that particular container the level of the water raises in that particular container. The negative charge is conducted in the water.

As level of water raises to the 1/4th level of the container the one of the led that has the wire on 1/4th level gains the negative charge and one led glows up.And as level of water raises and raises up and water touches the wire and the led glows up and finally when the container is completely filled all the led glows up.

So lets make up this simple but awsome project. For this you need the following.

1 9v battery.
battery holder.
4 different colour leds.
wires.
pcb.
and finaly some time.

Step 1: CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

We will be using the same circuit diagram in making the whole project

Step 2: SOLDERING THE LED'S ON PCB

As you can see that I have soldered all the positive terminal of led all togethere and also soldered the negative terminal of led with the wire of their respective length

Step 3: FIXING THE WIRES ON THE GLASS STRIP

This step is optional but if you do it it will look better and work better.

I have used the small glass strip and its length is equal to the length of wire of the longest wire coming out of the negative terminal of one of the led(THIS IS THE WIRE WHICH WILL INDICATE 1/4 LEVEL.) and fixed all the wires on it by using black electrical tape on the glass strip.

NOTE : DON'T TAPE THE STRIPPED PART OF THE WIRE (THE INNER COPPER OR ALUMINIUM WIRE).

If you look at second snap shot(THIS IS OF THE BACK PART) you will see that I have fixed one more wire which is not connected with any thing on the both ends. This wire I have fitted because I will be providing the negative power source through it. The last end at the bottom is slightly longer than the whole length of the glass strip.

Step 4: CONNECTION OF BATTERY HOLDER.

Now connect the battery holder to the wire and provide power to the circuit.

Step 5: FIXING AT RIGHT PLACE

Find the bottle or container of the same height of the whole circuit i.e. top most wire to bottom most wire.

Step 6: RESULT OF THE PROJECT

If you have done all the things correctly you will be having all the 4 leds glowing when the container is filled completely and you will be having a simple but awsome OVERHEAD WATER TANK CIRCUIT WITHOUT ANY IC OR CAPACITOR
