Introduction: Oats Vegetable Soup
Oats has numerous health benefits. It is rich in fiber, antioxidants, lowers bad cholestrol and excellent source for people trying for weight loss.
Apart from oatmeal we can prepare delicious soup by combing oats with vegetables. This hot soup makes you refreshed during a cold winter day.
- 3 to 4 finely chopped garlic
- One finely chopped Onion
- Few chopped carrot and beans
- Half cup Oats
- Few chopped coriander leaves
- Little butter
- Pepper powder
- Salt as per taste
- One TSP cornflour
- 750 ml water
Step 1: Saute Garlic and Onions
Take a vessel and add little butter. When butter melts add chopped garlic and one chopped onion.
Step 2: Add Chopped Carrot and Beans
Add finely chopped carrot and beans and saute for some time.
Step 3: Add Oats
Add half cup Oats and roast for some time
Step 4: Add Water
Add 750ml water. Cover with lid and cook for some time.
Step 5: Add Pepper Powder and Salt
Add pepper powder and salt as per taste and give a mix.
Step 6: Make Cornflour Paste
Take teaspoon cornflour and add little water and give a mix.
Step 7: Add Cornflour Paste
Add cornflour paste and give a mix. As we are adding oats consistency will be ok without adding cornflour. If you want more thicker consistency you can add cornflour or else you can skip it.
Step 8: Add Coriander Leaves
Finally add some chopped coriander leaves and serve the soup hot.
