Introduction: Ombre Nails
A few easy steps to create a subtle ombre nail effect.
Step 1: Things You Need
Supplies
- Cosmetic Sponge
- Clear Base Coat - "First Base base coat" by Essie
- Base Color & Lighter Ombre Color - "Bubble Bath" by OPI
- Darker Ombre Color - Designer Series "Classic" by OPI
- Quick Dry Top Coat "Good To Go" by Essie
Step 2:
Add 1 stripe of your darker color and 1 stripe of your base color to the cosmetic sponge.
Step 3:
Once nail polish is on the cosmetic sponge you're ready to apply your ombre to your nails!
Step 4:
Roll the sponge onto your nail with medium pressure.
Step 5:
Carefully lift off the sponge from your nail. Sometimes a 2nd application is required when using the lighter shades.
After you're done with your ombre a little clean is required.
Take a q-tip and dip it in your polish remover to clean up the excess polish.
Step 6:
Apply 1 coat of your dry fast top coat & Voilla! A subtle ombre nail effect.

Make up sponges are really the best tool to use for an ombre. They have them at any local drugstore and supermarket. U can try the end of an old rag but I'm not sure how well that will work.

Great! It also works well with a silver glitter polish on a natural nail too. The possibilities are endless!
