STEP 1: Things You Need

Supplies
  1. Cosmetic Sponge
  2. Clear Base Coat - "First Base base coat" by Essie
  3. Base Color & Lighter Ombre Color - "Bubble Bath" by OPI
  4. Darker  Ombre Color - Designer Series "Classic" by OPI
  5. Quick Dry Top Coat "Good To Go" by Essie
Clean Up - Remove the excess polish by using polish remover & a Q-Tip to clean around the edges.

STEP 2:

Add 1 stripe of your darker color and 1 stripe of your base color to the cosmetic sponge.

STEP 3:

Once nail polish is on the cosmetic sponge you're ready to apply your ombre to your nails!

STEP 4:

Roll the sponge onto your nail with medium pressure.

STEP 5:

Carefully lift off the sponge from your nail.  Sometimes a 2nd application is required when using the lighter shades.

After you're done with your ombre a little clean is required.

Take a q-tip and dip it in your polish remover to clean up the excess polish.

STEP 6:

Apply 1 coat of your dry fast top coat & Voilla!  A subtle ombre nail effect.

I dont have a make up sponge so what else can i use
Make up sponges are really the best tool to use for an ombre. They have them at any local drugstore and supermarket. U can try the end of an old rag but I'm not sure how well that will work.
u cud try a kitchen sponge, or a piece of foam that came inside a package or something, hope this helped
I love this.. this is awesome.
Thanks so much! For more fun nail stuff check out my blog www.thetrendynail.com
Great! It also works well with a silver glitter polish on a natural nail too. The possibilities are endless!
This is super cool!!! Thanks for sharing, and I will totally try this!! :-)
