Introduction: OmniWrench Millennium 12
Do you have a screw that needs turning or a bad guy that needs bashing? If you said yes, than the OmniWrench Millennium 12 is right for you. This giant wrench is wielded by Rachet in the game series Ratchet and Clank. This is Ratchet's signature melee weapon and tool. For this Instructable, you will need: Single ply corrugated cardboard, An empty tinfoil tube, An empty gauze tube, Chrome, gray, dark blue, light blue, and black Duck tape, Hot glue and hot glue gun, Marker, Scissors, and a little bit of patience.
Step 1: The Big Picture
Print out a picture of the OmniWrench. The only way I could get it to print was to print on two sheets. (If you don't have a printer, draw it) Trace one half of the wrench and cut it out of cardboard twice.
Step 2: Adding Some Girth
Measure the length of each side of your cut outs. Cut out cardboard rectangles of those lengths and widths of 2 inches. Hot glue these on the edges, facing up. Then glue the other half on top.
Step 3: And Do It All Again!
Repeat the previous steps so you have both halves of the wrench.
Step 4: That One Frustrating Step
This part took me a while. Cut rings out of the gauze tube and set them aside. Now, cut out a cardboard strip and roll it so it matches that shape in the middle of the wrench. Cut tabs in the edges and get out the glue gun. Glue the strip into the roll shape, but only on the solid part, not the tabs. Fold the tabs into the middle and glue in a gauze tube on each side.
Step 5: Lots of Rolls
Roll up a thin strip of cardboard and glue it to the bottom. Then a piece of gauze roll, then another cardboard one.
Step 6: Handling the Situation
Hold the tinfoil tube and mark down where your hand ends, with some room. Now trace the handle piece off the big picture. Cut that out of cardboard twice. Now eyeball where those pieces would leave the tinfoil tube, and cut out of three of those. You should have 2 curved and 3 straight ends. Glue the straight ends together and then glue the curved ones on each side, folding out the curves.
Step 7: Bring It All Together
Glue together the individual pieces. It should start to look like the wrench now, if it doesn't, I suggest you take a look at step one.
Step 8: Making It Presentable
I didn't do any Instructions for adding the tape, because I figured its pretty straight forward, just put the tape on nicely. For the blue disk things on the wrench, I used those evil Nerf Discs that ricochet off walls and disappear forever. Grr... Well, there you have it! Your very own OmniWrench Millennium 12! Don't forget to favorite, follow, breathe, and vote, not necessarily in that order. Thanks!
