Intro: On the Go Noodle Soup

This noodle soup is amazingly quick and easy to make, heavenly healthy and perfect for taking anywhere and everywhere! All you need is some hot water and some chopsticks (or a fork if that's not your forte) and you're ready to dig in! The perfect lunch that can be changed to use up anything in your fridge and is sure to satisfy!

STEP 1: Step 1: Choose Your Ingredients!

All you need is a container ~ a sealable jar (pyrex or mason) is perfect!

You can change the ingredients included depending on your likes and what you have available.

What I recommend:

A serve of Noodles (pre-cooked)

Any kind of COOKED meat or tofu

A handful of bean shoots

A handful of mixed veggies and greens (I used Chinese cabbage, spinach, broccoli and cauliflower)

Some kind of herbs -dried or fresh

1 tbs soy sauce

1 tbs teriyaki sauce

1 tsp chili sauce

1 tsp stock powder

1 tsp miso and/or tom yum paste

STEP 2: Step 2: Add Ingredients to Jar

First put in the cooked noodles, followed by the flavourings (soy sauce, pastes, herbs etc.), then the veggies and finally the bean sprouts.

STEP 3: Step 3: Wait for Chow Time!

Simply seal the container and store (in fridge preferably) until it's time to eat!

These keep relatively well (depending on ingredients used) so can be made in larger batches in advanced and stored for a few days in the fridge until ready to use.

STEP 4: Step 4: Enjoy!

When the time has finally come to crack into your marvellous meal, all you need to do is pour in some hot water and leave to infuse for a few minutes (if you're patient enough!) then stir up and enjoy your guilt free and delectable dish!

This is a great idea! I think it would taste very good.

_julia_lee, your instructable is easy to follow and the pictures taken are also easy to follow. When you say hot water do you mean boil the water in a pan or microwave water to a boil or just hot water from tap? I prefer my vegetables steamed cooked where they are not crunchy or are not soggy and was wondering what is best? This is a good idea for on the go or in my case, in between meeting when I was in the military. Good luck in the Meal Prep Contest.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I personally used boiling water from the kettle which worked quite well to cook the veggies enough for my liking in the minute or so I left it to infuse but it really depends on what you have available to cook with and your likes. I would just be careful that the container is microwave safe if using that option as mine wasn't. Thank you for your support!
OK, thanks for your guidance and I will try the recipe. Good luck.

What a nice time saving idea ! I would add a pealed clove of garlic to each bottle. It prevents spoilage. Thank you for sharing.

Great tip, I'll definitely do that! thank you!
